HomeMy WebLinkAbout07345� } ORDINANCE NO. 734 (1977 Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY TO REZONE PROPERTY IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL AREA. WHEREAS, the attached map marked Exhibit "A ", which is incorporated into this ordinance by reference, shows the boundaries of the area known for planning and zoning purposes as the South Central Area of San Luis Obispo and shows the present zoning of the property within that area; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends that the properties within the South Central Area be rezoned; and WHEREAS, the attached map marked Exhibit "B ", which is incorporated into this ordinance by.reference, shows the new zoning designations proposed for properties within the South Central Area; and WHEREAS,this rezoning has been processed in accordance with the pro- visions of Sections 65800 et seq. of the Government Code, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. The Official Zone Map of the City of San Luis Obispo is amended to reclassify the properties in the South Central Area as shown on the attached Exhibit "B ". SECTION 2. Exhibit "B" is adopted as a part of the Official Zone Map of the City. SECTION 3. For reference purposes the South Central Area is described as follows: The area bounded on the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad, excluding a small area bounded by Church, Morro, Santa Barbara and High Streets and a small area bounded by Pismo, Toro and Leff Streets, and including a small area bounded by Rachel Court 0 734 Ordinance No. 734 (1977 Series) and Bushnel Street; on the west and south by a line from the railroad tracks southwest along Monterey Street to Nipomo Street, southeast to Higuera Street, southwest to Highway 101 to South Street along San Luis Creek then eastward to the south end of Brook Street across Higuera Street near Madonna Road, south on a line east of Higuera to a line extending west from Mitchell Drive to the city limits, to a line extending southwest from Lawrence Drive to Broad Street,.to Orcutt Road and to the railroad tracks. SECTION 4. This ordinance together with the ayes and noes, shall be pub- lished once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in the City, and shall go into effect at the expiration of 30 days after its final pass- age.
