HomeMy WebLinkAbout0747ORDINANCE NO. 747 (1978 SERIES) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY (TO REZONE PROPERTY NORTH AND EAST FROM THE END OF SAN LUIS DRIVE, CITY - INITIATED REZONING). WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City-Council have held hearings in accordance with Section 65800 et. seq. of the Government Code to consider appropriate zoning for subject property, and; WHEREAS, the Council finds that the proposed zoning is consistent with the general plan, and; WHEREAS, an environmental evaluation of the citywide rezoning program has been accepted by the Environmental Review Committee and the proposed zoning will not create significant impacts not previously.considered in said environ- mental evaluation, and; WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public, health, safety, and general welfare: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. That the Official Zone Map of the City be amended to re- classify that property located north and east of the northeast end of San Luis Drive from R -1 (low- density residential) to R -1 -S (low- density residential, use permit required due to special considerations), except for the area within the 100 -year floodplain as identified on maps prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Flood Insurance Administration, and the area with greater than 65 dBA (Ldn) highway noise exposure according to the Noise Element of the general plan, and the area with cross slopes 0 747 I. ORDINANCE NO. 747 of 30% or more, which are to be reclassified from R -1 (low- density residential) to A /C -40 (agriculture /conservation zone, forty acre minimum parcel size for residence). Said zoning is also shown on the attached map marked "Exhibit A," which is included herein by reference. SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said city, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said final passage. INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo at a meeting thereof held on the 21st day of March 1978, on motion of Councilman Jorgensen seconded by Councilman Settle and on the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Jorgensen, Settle and Mayor Schwartz NOES: Councilmen Dunin and Petterson ABSENT: None ATTEST: Ci er .H.
