ORDINANCE NO. 761 (1978 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING
THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY (TO REZONE PROPERTY
AT 1625 THROUGH 1761 MONTEREY STREET, CITY - INITIATED
REZONING).
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings
to consider approriate zoning for subject property in accordance with Section
65800 et. seq. of the Government Code; and::
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning is consistent with the general plan; and.
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning will enable city review of the relationship
between development and the creek environment and adjacent residential area
when development of subject property is proposed; and
WHEREAS, environmental review has been completed for the general plan
amendment which this zoning action implements; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public health, safety and
general welfare;
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION.1. That the area shown on the map attached hereto marked
"Exhibit A" and included herein by reference be reclassified from C -T
(Tourist Commercial) to C -T -S (Tourist Commercial, use permit required due
to special considerations).
SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage,
in the Telegram - Tribune, a newpaper published and circulated in said city,
and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after
its said passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a meeting thereof held on the 5th day of July , 1978,
on motion of Councilman Petterson , seconded by Councilman Settle ,

AYES: Councilmen Dunin, Petterson, Settle and Mayor Schwartz
