ORDINANCE NO. 816 (1979 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING THE
OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY (TO REZONE PROPERTY AT 3230
SOUTH HIGUERA STREET, CITY - INITIATED REZONING). CR 0757
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings
to consider appropriate zoning for subject property in accordance with
Section 65300 et. seq. of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning is consistent
with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning has been evaluated in accordance with the
California Environmental Quality Act and the City's Environmental Impact
Procedures and Guidelines and a negative declaration has been certified by
the City; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public health, safety and
general welfare; and
WHEREAS, the requirement for use permit approval under the "S" zone
is necessary to insure acceptable site planning of this property in relation
to neighboring properties and access to South Higuera Street, and to reserve
space for particular activities as described in policies of the Land Use
Element of the general plan;
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That the areas shown on the map attached hereto marked
Exhibit "A" and included herein by reference be reclassified from C -H
(Service Commercial) to PF -S (Public Facility - Special Considerations).
SECTION 2.. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage,
in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said city,
and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days
after its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a, meeting thereof held on the 4th day of September 1979
on motion of Councilman Jorgensen, , seconded by Councilman Bond
and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Jorgensen, Bond, Billig and Mayor Pro -Tem Ronald Runin
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Cooper
