AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
AMENDING SPECIAL SPEED ZONES ON SOUTH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3215 of the Municipal Code shall be amended as
follows:
SECTION 3215. MODIFYING THE STATE SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN STREETS OR
PORTIONS THEREOF.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic
investigation that the speed otherwise permitted by state law upon the
following streets does not fall within reasonable or safe limits under the
conditions found to exist upon such streets. It is hereby declared that the
prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts
of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage in
the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and
the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its
said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo
at a meeting held on the 5th day of February 1980, on motion of
Councilman Bond seconded by Councilman Dunin and on the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Bond, Dunin, Billig, Jorgensen and Mayor Cooper
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
