HomeMy WebLinkAbout0853ORDINANCE NO. 853 (1980 Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL of the (Name of Governing Body) CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO authorizing an (Name of Public Agency) AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL (Governing Body) AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM. The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO (Name of Governing Body) (Name of Public Agency) does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That an amendment to the Contract between the CITY COUNCIL (Name of of the CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO and the Board of Governing Body) (Name of Public Agency) Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A ", and by such refer- ence made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. SECTION 2. The MAYOR of the (Title of Presiding Officer) CITY COUNCIL is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to (Name of Governing Body) execute said amendment for and on behalf of said Agency. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of 5 .days from the passage thereof shall be published at least once i'n the San Luis Obispo County Telegra - Tribune (Name of Newspaper) a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of (Name of San Luis Obispo and thenceforth and .thereafter the same Public Agency) shall be in full force and effect. Sections 21380 -21339 (1959 Survivors Program) . o. Sections 21263%21263.1 (Post- retirement survivor allowance) , for local safety members. c. Section 20 °52.8 (Unused sick: leave credit), for local rniscel- laneous and local .fire members. d : Section 20952.5 (A.ge 50 voluntary retirement) for local safety members only. e. Section 20024.2 (One -year final compensation) . T. Public Aency, in accordance with Section 20'740, Government Code, ceased to be an "employer" for purposes of C,:aapter 6 of the Public Employees' Retirement Law effective on Junes 1, 19`76. Acci 'rnulated contributions of Public A,ency as of the aforementioned date shall be fixed and determined as provided in Section 20759, Government Code, and accumulated contributions as of the aforementioned date and contributions thereafter made shall be held by the Board as provided in Section 20759, Government Cope. 8. Public kgency shall contribute to said Retirement System as follows a.
