AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING
THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY ,
5 ACRES NORTH OF CARLA AND EL CASERIO COURTS FROM A /C -5
TO R- 1 -S -2.5 (APPLICANT: CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO,
CR0759)
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings to
consider appropriate zoning for subject property in accordance with Section
65800 et seq. of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning has been evaluated in accordance with the California
Environmental Quality Act and the City's Environmental Impact Report Procedures
and Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been prepared which
spells out the consequences of the City adopting R -1 -S zoning for the property
or as an alternative R- 1 -S -2.5 zoning; and
WHEREAS, written response to comments received on the draft EIR have
been prepared in accordance with provisions of CEQA and the City's environ-
mental guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning is consistent
with the General Plan.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1: That the draft EIR and response to comments prepared for this
project are certified as being adequate and in compliance with CEQA and the
City's Environment Gudielines.
SECTION 2: That the area shown on the map attached hereto marked
Exhibit "A" and included hearin by reference be reclassified from A /C -5
(Agriculture /Conservation, 5 -acre parcel size minimum) to R- 1 -S -2.5
(Low- Density Residential, 2.5 acre parcel size minimum).
SECTION 3: This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in
the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said city, and

same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after said
final passage.
SECTION 4: That when subsequent entitlements for development of this
property are requested, the final EIR (including mitigation measures) will
be used to guide the design and site planning of residential development.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a meeting held on the 16th day of September 1960, on motion of
Councilman Munger , seconded by Councilman Dunin , and on the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Munger, Dunin and Mayor Cooper
NOES: Councilmembers Billig and
ABSENT: None
