ORDINANCE No:947 (1983 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING
THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY TO RE- ESTABLISH THE
BOUNDRY OF THE R-:1 AND C /OS ZONES TO MATCH THE GENERAL
PLAN URBAN RESERVE LINE IN HILLSIDE AREAS SOUTH OF
LUNETA DRIVE, TASSAJARA DRIVE, AND WEST OF MISSION LANE.
WHEREAS, on February 1, 1983-the City Council approved amendments to the
General Plan Land Use Element which changes the location of the urban reserve
and the boundary between hillside housing areas and open space on land south of
Luneta and Tassajara Drive and west of Mission Lane; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is both desirable and necessary
to change the locaton of zone boundaries in the subject area to match the location
of the general plan urban reserve line as established by council resolution
No. 5045 ; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public health, safety and welfare,
maintains consistancy between the city's general plan and zoning map, and helps
implement the City's Hillside Planning Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the environmental
determination made by the Community Development Director for the subject rezoning
as outlined in the March 1982 Hillside Planning Program Staff Report.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo
as follows:
SECTION 1: Adjustments to zone boundaries as shown on the attached map
(hereto marked Exhibit "A" and included herein by reference) are.hereby approved.
SECTION 2: This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram-
Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said city , and the same shall go

into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a meeting thereof held on the 1st. day of February , 1983 on motion
of Councilwoman Dovey , seconded by Councilman Settle , and on the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Dovey, Settle, Dunin, Griffin and Mayor Billig
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
