ORDINANCE NO. 974(1983 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING SECTION 3220.10
(BICYCLE RIDING RESTRICTED) AND REPEALING
SECTIONS 3220.11 (RIDING ON HANDLEBARS
PROHIBITED), 3220.12 (UNLAWFUL TO DRIVE
THROUGH FUNERAL PROCESSION) AND 3220.13
(CLINGING TO MOVING VEHICLES PROHIBITED)
OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3220.10 is amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 3220.10 BICYCLE RIDING RESTRICTED
No person shall ride a bicycle upon any sidewalk."
SECTION 2. Sections 3220.11, 3220.12 and 3220.13 hereby are repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage in
the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the
same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said
final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at.a. meeting held on the 19th day of April , 1983, on motion of
Councilman Griffin , secobided by .Councilman Settle , and on the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Griffin, Settle, Dunin and Mayor Billig
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilwoman Dovey
