ORDINANCE NO. 994 (1983 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN-1UIS OBISPO AMENDING
THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY TO REZONE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 265, 271, 277, 285 SOUTH "STREET FROM M
TO C =S
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings to
consider appropriate zoning for subject property in accordance with Section
65800.et. seq. of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning is consistent
with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning has been evaluated in accordance with the California
Environmental Quality Act and the city's Environmental Impact Procedures and
Guidelines and a negative declaration recommended; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public health, safety and
general welfare;
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the areas shown on the map attached hereto marked
Exhibit "A" and included herein by reference be reclassified from M (manufacturing)
to C -S (service- commercial).
SECTION 2. After review and consideration, the determination of the
Planning Commission that the negative declaration prepared by the Community
Development Director for this project is hereby affirmed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage,
in the Telegram- Tribune, a.newspap.er published and circulated in said city,
and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days
after its said final passage.
