There are a number of aspects to this project that meet many important City objectives, including intensified mixed-use development in the Downtown, affordable and workforce housing, public plaza space, and high quality design. Full realization of the potential of the project to meet these objectives are more important to me than a height reduction. I do believe that in exchange for granting planning entitlements that increase the value of property, the City and the community at large should receive benefits that are commensurate in value. Allowing the additional height provides additional value, thus allowing the project to more fully incorporate components to meet community objectives. Thank you for your consideration.
