SUBJECT: Item 2: Correction to Terms of Office for New, Full -Term Appointments to the
Citizen's Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission
Staff has identified the need to correct the Council Agenda Report for Item 2, as follows:
Recommendation:
.....Two members shall be appointed effective July 1, 2016, to terms expiring on
June 30, 2414 2019.
Discussion:
.......appoint two members effective July 1, 2016, to three-year terms each
expiring on June 30, 2418 2019.
This correction will ensure compliance with the terms of office specified in the following excerpt
of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code:
2.14.030 Term of office and compensation.
A. Terms. Of the members first appointed, three shall be appointed for the term of three years, and two shall be
appointed for two-year terms. Subsequent appointments to the REOC shall be for three years. Vacancies during the
term shall be filled by the city council for the unexpired portion of the term. Members may be removed by the city
council with or without cause by a majority vote of the city council. (Ord. 1615 § 1, 2015: Ord. 1605 § 1 (part),
