On the other hand, I behoove you to look for ways to fund your election campaigns without taking money from PACs, large donors, and special interests. Nothing seems to happen at the federal level, even though most retiring congress persons rue the fact that they must spend huge chunks of their days pandering and begging. You have the opportunity to make something good happen at the local level and can be a model and inspiration for the rest of the nation. The current presidential election shows the general discontentment of the American population toward politics as usual. Please do the right thing and pass an ordinance that would change the way we do elections in our town. Maybe in future the Supreme Court will reassess Citizens United. Sincerely, Diane Diamond
