Subject: SUBJECT: Item B-1, Consideration of a Keg Registration Program
Dear Mayor Marx and Members of the Council,
Residents for Quality Neighborhoods concurs with staff's recommendation not to move forward with a keg
registration program.
Police presence in and around our impacted neighborhoods has been the most effective in subduing noise
and addressing the unacceptable behaviors caused by over consumption of alcoholic beverages. Therefore,
we think the quality of life in our residential neighborhoods is best served by SLOPD's continued focus on
outreach to residents and students, and on their enforcement of the various ordinances designed to curb
the bad behaviors prevalent in some neighborhoods.
Thank you for your time and your consideration of our input.
Sincerely,
Sandra Rowley
Chairperson, RQN
