Dear Mayor and City Council, I agree with the RQN request to the appeal and encourage the
appellant to return with a project that meets city standards, including height and setback requirements
and those mandated by the Special Considerations overlay and hillside standards, and is compatible
with the neighborhood.
think this is a beautiful property, and had we purchased it we would have made every effort to blend
in with the the neighborhood, even with a flat roof. Our house is a mid-century modern and has a flat
roof. It is not a place for gathering, but given the opportunity young people would try to make it a
place to go; as do my neighbors next door and across the street, on roofs that are pitched. They have
access thru tall retraining walls that were done when they were "family" homes. I would not want to
pass -on the issue to the neighborhood of having to self -police another roof and especially a deck
party spot.
