Dear Council Members,
My Name is Barbara Remillard and my husband Claude and I reside at 192 Luneta Dr., SLO.
It is my understanding that there are plans to open the end of Luneta at Palomar to through traffic.
PLEASE do not let this happen! We have a quiet residential neighborhood and do not need more
traffic coming thrufl! We residents have not had a say in this, but now we need to speak up!!!
Opening this now closed off area will give us so much more traffic and on street parking, destroying
the character of our peaceful neighborhood. Property values in this intersection and throughout the
neighborhood will plummet, and for many of us our homes are are biggest asset.
This street MUST remain closed to traffic as it is now, to ensure the quality of life that we all cherish in
our neighborhood. We all love that one can walk to the grocery, children can play in the street, biking,
skateboarding, dog walking can occur on Luneta Dr. safely and peacefully. This is why we choose to
live in this area and the city should not have he right to change our lives without our input. Therefore,
on behalf of all our concerned residents:
Please put an item on the council agenda for keeping Luneta Drive closed to through traffic.
