I have long hoped for a good project to come forward that would protect and reuse the old Sunny Acres building. I have
seen a couple of proposals over the years, and this is the first that I think deserves support.
TMHA will adaptively reuse the historic building, which I hope will be added to the Master List of Historic Resources.
And the new buildings respect the old one by keeping new development low and allowing the old Children's Home to be
visually dominant.
I strongly urge your support for the Bishop Street Studios project and the programed housing it will provide for people in
our community with mental illness.

I am writing to express my strong support for the Bishop Street Studios project you will be reviewing.
TMHA has proposed a terrific project which will restore and adaptively reuse the old Sunny Acres building.
I have long hoped for a party to come along to repair and protect this beautiful old building, and I believe it deserves a
place on the Master List of Historic Resources.
I urge you to lend your support to TMHA and its project to save Sunny Acres and provide programed housing for those in
our community suffering from mental illness.
