HomeMy WebLinkAboutr10256statefundedtransitprojectsRESOLUTION NO . 10256 (2011 Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AUTHORIZING TH E EXECUTION OF A MASTER AGREEMENT AND PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTS FO R STATE FUNDED TRANSIT PROJECT S WHEREAS,the City of San Luis Obispo may receive state funding from the Californi a Department of Transportation (Department) now or sometime in the future for transit projects ; and WHEREAS,substantial revisions were made to the programming and funding proces s for the transportation projects programmed in the State Transportation Improvement Program, by Chapter 622 (SB 45) of the Statutes of 1997 ; and WHEREAS,the Traffic Congestion Relief Act of 2000 (the Act) was established b y Chapters 91 (AB 2928) and 92 (SB 496), as amended by SB 1662, of the statutes of 2000 , creating the Traffic Congestion Relief Program (TCRP); an d WHEREAS,the statutes related to state-funded transit projects require a local o r regional implementing agency to execute an agreement with the Department before it can b e reimbursed for project expenditures ; an d WHEREAS,the Department utilizes Master Agreements for State-Funded Transi t Projects, along with associated Program Supplements, for the purpose of administering an d reimbursing state transit funds to local agencies ; and WHEREAS,the City of San Luis Obispo wishes to delegate authorization to execut e these agreements and any amendments thereto to the Public Works Director. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of San Luis Obispo that ; 1.The fund recipient agrees to comply with all conditions and requirements set forth in thi s agreement and applicable statutes, regulations and guidelines for all state-funded transi t projects . 2.The City Manager is authorized to execute the Master Agreement and for the Publi c Works Director to execute and all Program Supplements for State-Funded Transit Project s and any Amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation .
