Dear Council Members,
This is in regards to the omission of a neighborhood park for the north Broad area in the Parks and
Recreation Strategic Plan ($900,000 allotted this year by Council to start the process). As you will
recall, this area is the only one specifically mentioned in the General Plan for over forty years as
having an unmet need for a park.
Please add this as a bulleted item to 4.3.1 to plan for a new neighborhood park to be located in the
northern Broad area of San Luis Obispo and cite the wording that has been in the General Plan for so
many years.
