Subject: Support for Open Space as Top City Goal
Dear Respected Mayor and City Council Member,
I am writing to voice my continued support for City Open Spaces, as I am unable to attend tomorrow's meeting.
I have been active with Central Coast Concerned Mountain Bikers for the entire 12 years I have lived in San
Luis Obispo. Most recently as President. For years, I have had the pleasure of working on trails alongside City
Rangers Services and know how important it is for the city to provide them with the financial means to take
care of the land we all love so much.
I sincerely hope that the City continues to support open space by:
continuing to fund open space capital improvement projects (CIPS) so that long term projects, trail
improvements and new trail development can continue and
continuing to recognize that open space is a part of the City's infrastructure which, like parking lots,
buildings and roads, requires and deserves maintenance so that the value of the open spaces is
maintained.
