Support to oppose a new safety enhancement zone and to 1
support a fair party registration program
By signing this document we, as residents of San Luis Obispo,
declare that we are firmly against a new proposed "safety
enhancement zone" ordinance that would be created and extended
throughout the month of March.
Additionally we want to support the idea that building relationships,
not creating ordinances, will lead towards community improvement.
Furthermore we support the swift implementation of a fair and sound
party registration program that:
1. Is optional
2. Is available at convenient times
3. Is city-wide
4. Is open to all groups and individuals within San Luis Obispo city
limits
5. Alerts the host, not the landlord or property owner, if a(warnina
from dispatch is sent to a phone number on file
6. Does not designate a registered address as a target for patrol
or surveillance
7. Is written with the input of both younger and older community
groups
8. Will allow SLOPD to allocate less resources to noise related
issues, and more to public/property safety, and the downtown
area
