Creekside Lofts, L.P. (applicant) has proposed the construction of a mixed use 18 unit,
four story apartment complex at 560 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo. The SLO
Architectural Review Commission approved the design on October 17th, 2016 against
objections make by the Dana Street neighbors. October 27th, 2016 Dana Street
neighbors appealed the decision to City Council. The neighbors appeal specifically
regarding the projects scale and mass, openings facing the creek, screening and
parking.
On January 17th, 2017 the SLO City Council will consider the appeals of both the
applicants and the neighbors..
Regarding the Application to Develop 560 Higuera Street: we the undersigned Petition
the Members of the San Luis Obispo City Council to:
1. Strictly enforce the provisions of the SLO Land Use Element, Community Design
Guidelines and Ordinance #1130. Ord. #1130 will be extended to the Dana
Street Neighborhood later this year when Zoning Revisions are made city wide.
2. Deny the proposed 560 Higuera Street project if it/and or its revisions do not
comply with the spirit and letter of City Ordinance #1130, SLO Land Use
Element and the SLO Community Design Guidelines.
