Since my husband passed away last year and I am a Widow on my own, the demands, requirements, fees and potential costs presented by the city regarding my personal property has caused me great angst and worry. My husband and I have owned this property for over 35 years without a single complaint or problem. I take pride in how we've kept our rental property in excellent condition and have been able to keep our rental price at a minimum. But, that will have to change if this program is not stopped. I employ a Contractor regularly to inspect my property for safety issues and up -keep. I have watched other city rental property owners become exempt from these inspections - THAT'S DISCRIMINATION. This program is exceedingly far-reaching and unfair. It must be REPEALED. Nothing less is acceptable as the RHIO program has had two years to improve the ordinance and has done nothing except add on onerous regulations. The ordinance is a violation of all tenants and property owners 4th Amendment rights and must be stopped now! Myself, and many of my friends and neighbors, of this beautiful city of San Luis Obispo, strive for and support progress to improve, develop, enrich, and enhance our great city for all of our residents in a thoughtful, legitimate, and fair-minded way. This ordinance has never gone in the right direction and has failed. IT NEEDS TO BE REPEALED NOW. Thank you for your time, efforts, and service to our city. Sincerely, Annette B. Hackman
