Hi, and thank you for your service to the community. It takes a lot of time and effort to do what you do!
Thanks for taking time from your busy day to hear my concerns about your upcoming vote on the Rental
Inspection Ordinance.
As a homeowner and voter in SLO, I am very aware of the high cost of living here. This ordinance will only
increase the rental rates by putting unnecessary taxes on current property owners that are playing by the rules.
Instead of a city wide Rental Inspection Ordinance, would it not make more sense to go after the properties
that are in clear violation of current ordinances? It is easy to see the violators, just check the property --lots of
red cups on the lawn usually mean there are issues at that property!
Let's just use the current rules to punish the bad guys, and do our part to keep rental prices as low as possible!
