Subject: Feb 16, 2017 Rental Housing Inspection Program Meeting
As a 73 -year native and resident of San Luis Obispo, this is my formal request that the San Luis Obispo Mayor and
City Council repeal the Rental Housing Inspection Program which I feel violates my tenant's constitutional rights,
punishes my responsible efforts for decades as a caring landlord, and groups me by association with slum lords, all
of which I resent.
All my rental properties passed the RHIP in 2016 on the first visit, proving that there were no non-compliance
issues, yet my tenants and I were greatly inconvenienced and forced to pay hundreds of dollars in 2016 for nothing.
