Subject: Feb 16 Rental Inspection Meeting
Ladies/Gentlemen:
Our rental inspection program is an unreasonable and unnecessary intrusion into the right of private citizens to
freely enter into legal contracts. Neither the renters nor the landlords need the City's protection, and the cost of
the program makes rental prices go up. At best it's a make-work project to justify more city employees who are
adding to our growing pension liability.
I urge you to eliminate the program by repealing the ordinance that established it.
