HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-16-2017 - NACOUNCIL MEETING:_. ITEM NO.:_ From: Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2017 7:24 PM To: E-mail Council Website <emailcouncil@slocity.o> Subject: RHIO meeting at Vet Bldg. I writing to let you know that our rentals have been inspected and after two months were finally passed. Guess what?? the tenants are doing the same thing they have always done. I did have to install GFCI but the utilities worked fine with the extension bar. Trying to get the tenants, the housing inspector and the City inspector and us to meet at the same time is a pain in the butt. The tenants did say that if this is happening again they will not give permission to enter the rental. We are urging you to please repeal. You have to go back to the drawing board..also, this seems like "double dipping". The City is charging us for a business license because of our rentals... then, the City charges us again to inspect the same rentals. If the City is going to charge us for a business license and another charge for the inspection of the same rentals (double dipping). Why do we have to pay every year even tho the rental is not inspected. The City does not inspect our house .... does mean we can rent out our garage to someone??
