The applicant's proposed 6 foot tall antennas, rising 8.5 feet from the roofline of an existing building, is incompatible with the Railroad Historic District Guidelines. As the staff report indicates, the Railroad District Historic Plan requires that new structures be architecturally compatible with the district's prevailing historic character. The proposed plan is not compatible with the character and style of the this historic district and in fact introduces new architectural styles and elements not in character with the guidelines that are not proportional to the existing building. Your duty is to enforce our city's design guidelines and preserve the character of our city's historic districts. Please deny this project as it does not conform to the guidelines required in the Railroad Historic District. Thank you. John Grady Resident in the Railroad Historic District San Luis Obispo, CA
