Mr. Jenkins' opinion, below, is worth reading:

I concur. Mr. Jenkins is enlightened and has lived in SLO longer than most of us have been alive.
The RIP (sic) workshop was expectedly disappointing. Over half the public left early, not being opportuned to
speak for over 2-1/2 hours. Most, including myself, had no interest in the 150 minute professional downtalkers'
session and we just stood and disparaged the forum's format until you FINALLY opened public comment.
You COULD have provided a 5 minute speaking time limit instead of pushing the city's viewpoint.
I'm sure the evening was costly as well.
You probably felt it was productive, so we can disagree on that ---BUT NEXT TIME LET THE PEOPLE
SPEAK prior to the workshop activities, please! It was insulting to many, IMO. Listen to the public FIRST.
