Hello all,
Mr. Gomez has kindly replied to my last message with good information, so I'd like to maybe revise my comments.
I am simply amazed that the city seems to be required to spend upwards of $90,000 (my number is correct?) on something I believe
everyone would agree is a frivolity.

Mr. & Mrs. Jouet, I certainly understand and share your frustration with the costs that these types of actions
drive, but conducting a thorough, independent investigation is a legal requirement for the City when it receives
formal complaints of the type at issue here. I assure you that the complaining parties who felt aggrieved do not
share your perspective that an independent investigation is a frivolity. And, to be accurate, the total amount
approved was not to exceed $70,000, not $90,000, although I am sure that is no greater comfort.
