SUBJECT: Cost of Service Fee Study Agenda Report (04/18/2017 Public Hearing Item #1)
Correction regarding Engineering, Public Works, & Fire Department portion of
draft fee schedule
The purpose of this agenda correspondence is to provide corrections to the draft fee schedule
(Exhibit 1 within Attachment A) of the subject Council Agenda Report. Staff noticed the errors,
summarized below, in the fee schedule and has provided the following corrections that are
indicated with a "0" along the left margin for reference in updated Exhibit 1 attached hereto.
Additional review found no remaining errors.
Engineering Fee Schedule (II):
1. Annual Encroachment Permit for Utility Companies (Fee item II(5) on page 4). Fee amount updated
in error, fee is to remain same as existing. (current: $19,015.29, revised: $8,541.00).
2. Transportation Permit (Fee item II(6) on page 4). The "single trip permit" and "annual permit" fees
are set by the Department of Transportation at $16.00 and $90.00 respectively. This has now been
corrected on the schedule. (current: $139.87, revised: $16.00 & $90.00).
3. Post Construction Requirements/Stormwater/Inspection (Fee item II(A.4) on page 5). The word
"inspection" was added in error and has now been removed.
Public Works Fee Schedule III :
1. Post Construction Requirements/Stormwater/Inspection. (Fee item III(B.4) on page 6). The word
"inspection" was added in error and has now been removed.
a. The Public Works department does not perform these reviews: the fees for Single -Family
Residential (page 7) was included in error and has now been removed (current 0-2500 &
2501+: $97.08, revised 0-2500 & 2501+: $0.00).
Fire Department Develo ment Services Fee Schedule (Y11:
1. Site Improvements (Fee item VI(15) on page 16). The square footage tier structure has been updated
for consistency with Engineering (e.g. see Fee Item II(A.1) in the Engineering Fee Schedule on
page 4) and Public Works tiers for site improvements.
Please contact Marcus Carloni (mcarloni@slocity.org) should there be any questions.
