Subject: Budget Recommendations - Bike Facilities
Mayor Harmon and Councilmembers,
I would like to thank you for your continued support on prioritizing bicycle facility funding. These are my
recommendations as you work through the staff recommended 2017-2019 budget:
- Please fund improvements for Safe Routes to School to Pacheco and Bishop's Peak plus the Broad Street Bike
Boulevard to keep these projects rolling
- Delay Penny lane bridge for next budget
- Yes on staff's recommendation for a feasibility study for the RR Safety trail continuation from Pepper to
Amtrack . Thank you for helping secure a grant for Taft to Pepper
- Yes on prioritizing Bob Jones from Oceanaire to Calle Joaquin
- Please fund a feasibility study for a safe connection across 101 near Madonna Rd, the existing infrastructure is
insufficient and dangerous and this crossing will become more critical as San Luis Ranch develops
