The City has made it clear that housing is it's number one priority for the upcoming budget cycle as we desperately need new and affordable housing of all types. By providing more available housing, we can help reduce the amount of traffic coming into SLO just for the work day, which is becoming a serious issue. The City population doubles M -F because so many people can't afford housing within the city. This specific plan shows housing units that will range in sizes and styles and will appeal to a variety of families and a variety of incomes. Small families and young professionals would gladly sacrifice size for proximity to the places they need to go and we need to make that happen so the wonderful and talented people that are working here and contributing to this city's success don't have to move away. Building new homes have been shown to be more efficient than older homes and this project has an emphasis on green building and energy efficient features to reduce the impact on the environment while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions because people will be traveling shorter distances to work daily. Sincerely, Audrey Bigelow Audrey Bigelow 1748 Lee Ann Ct. San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
