I live in the neighborhood near Meadow Park and I support the proposed project at 279
Bridge Street for many reasons, especially because it's an infill project that will provide an
opportunity for somewhere to go that I can easily walk to.
Right now, I also enjoy walking to another brewery, Bang the Drum, on Orcutt, directly
across the street from the high density housing development, where I like to meet friends
from the neighborhood as we lament about the difficulty of crossing Broad Street to be
able to get to the food coop, the Guild Community Hall and farmers market, and Taste
Restaurant.
Bridge Street is very easy access by foot or bike for our neighborhood, and would provide
another wonderful gathering spot that we don't have to drive to. This is a GREAT use of
commercial space for the city, right at the bike trail connector from Meadow Park.
