Subject: opposed to Item 9, Private Sewer Lateral Ordinance
Dear Mayor Harmon and council members .... We ask that you allow City staff to conduct additional outreach with a
wider variety of stakeholders to allow more community involvement before adoption of an ordinance. We don't believe
the relevant issues have been flushed out and we don't agree with the costs of such, this is a win-win for the
city and a lose = lose for property owners - it diverts attention from the real issue, city
malfeasance in the design, management, and maintenance of its sewer mains, while
costing the city nothing and producing revenue. Usually we are in favor of win-win outcomes
but not in this instance. Please vote no on tonight's agenda item 9.
