Subject:Item on agenda for June 1, 2017 SLO City Council meeting
Honorable Mayor and SLO City Council members:
I understand that the City Council will decide next Thursday whether to move all
but $260,000 out of the $900,000 fund earmarked for a neighborhood park in
the North Broad Area (north of 101, west of Santa Rose, south of Foothill.)
As a resident, concerned about the opportunities for our youth to have open space
to pursue sports activities and neighborhood families to have a place to recreate
and spend quality time together IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD, I strongly urge
members of the Council to honor the commitment of the entire $900,000.00 fund
specifically earmarked for the above noted park to remain in the budget.
You owe it to your constituents to do nothing to downgrade the quality of life in
our everchanging city landscape.
