Thank you. MVL Attachments:Parkland Fund Council Meeting.pdf Dear Mayor Harmon and Katie Lichtig - As you may know, I have sat through my share of meetings in the last 34 years of being an involved teacher, a SLCTA Executive Union Board member, and an active community member. My memory of the North Broad Steet area getting $900,000 allocated for a "future park" is very vivid. In fact, it is crystal clear. Why? It came after multiple meetings that I had with interested Council members and other citizens at the time. Many active community members and I considered this allocation of funds to be a sincere victory after many hours, research, and letters over a period of several months. The money was represented as being "protected for a future park" with no immediate time frame being attached to the funds in public or private communications. As you know, I think that you are both "nice" and "professional." As a teacher, I want to believe that this was not an overt action of either of you being disingenuous. Please revisit the facts and recognize that $900,000 should be secured for a park in our area. Please correct this error in the vote for the upcoming City budget on June 1, 2017. Please contact me directly in the event that you would like additional clarification. Thank you. Sincerely, Mila Mila Vujovich-La Barre 650 Skyline Drive San Luis Obispo, California 93405 milavu@hotmail.com 805-441-5818 1 Harmon:I had a question about the $9,000 (sic)for Parks and Rec?I’m just wondering –my sense would have been that had a timeline on it but it doesn’t seem to.Is that just floating out in space,so to speak, until that community or until the City can find a park for the community?
