Subject:North broad park
Dear city council,
I am an architecture professor at Cal Poly. I support developing and funding a park in the North Broad neighborhood. It
is difficult to afford living in San Luis Obispo. One of the things that makes it appealing, despite the cost, is the
neighborliness. Parks are a great asset. A park would also be beneficial in terms of homeowner/student relations. A park
would give more visibility to families and children and give student renters a stronger sense that they live in a
community that merits respectful behavior.
