Mayor Harmon and City Council ,
Please do not raid our North Broad park fund that was earmarked on June 14, 2016. We have been
waiting patiently since the mid 1970's for our park as identified then as an "unmet need." in the
General Plan. Please respect the resolution that was made by the previous City Council directing
staff to make our North San Luis Obispo park acquisition a reality.
We are expecting you to stand with the citizens and represent the last large area of the City without a
real park that can be enjoyed by all. We are counting on the you to preserve the $900,000 intact and
direct staff to start looking for suitable property. Residents would happily assist and work
cooperatively to achieve this goal.
