Subject:Corporate Yard Well Access
Dear San Luis Obispo City Council,
This email is regarding item #15 on the agenda for the June 20, 2017 City Council meeting.
We live at 850 W Foothill BLVD, about a mile outside of the San Luis Obispo city limits. During the drought our
well was not keeping up with our water needs even though we were VERY careful about water usage. We
focused on supplying water for our household needs and eliminated most of the landscape watering which
caused the death of several of our well established trees.
Access to the Corporation Yard water well allowed us the security of knowing that we would still be able to
flush our toilets, wash clothes, and shower. We are so grateful that the city allowed us access to the
Corporate Yard well even though we live outside city limits. Without that water we would have been facing
some tremendous hardships.
Thanks to this seasons bountiful rainy season our well is performing good and we will very likely not need to
use the Corporate Yard water. However, if possible we would like to see the licensing program for the
Corporation Yard well continued. If we are allowed to purchase access to the Corporate Yard well we could
rest easy knowing we would always have water help available if needed.
Thank you so much for including us in this program. We are hoping the City Council can find a way to allow us
to continue to purchase water from the Corporate Yard well.
