Subject:The Healthy California Act
Dear Council Members,
I am Linda Pax, a resident of San Luis Obispo and a retired elementary teacher. I am writing to ask
that you consider endorsing SB 562, the act that will guarantee comprehensive healthcare for ALL
Californians. I believe healthcare is a right. This act not only covers everyone, it will save money
and save lives. All medically necessary care will be covered including medical, vision, dental,
hearing and reproductive care. Nearly all individuals and businesses will save on healthcare with no
no more co-pays, deductibles, or surprise medical bills. Our local businesses will hugely benefit
because their employees will be covered. Our businesses that provide insurance will not be subject
to penalties from Covered California or to the the profit-reducing expenses of securing
healthcare. When all citizens are healthy - mentally and physically - everyone wins! Thank you
for your consideration.
