In regaxds to: San Luis Ranch Speci�ic Plan.
Just back fr�n a lovely, four day business trip, to the Bay Area of California.
Non-sto� noise, people, cars, tra�fic, psychotic/lawless drivers, graffiti,
criminal elernent. During these business trix�s in the past. I could not wait
to return hame; to San Luis Obispo. Now, v��ether these trip's are to Los µ
Angeles or the Bay Area. I can no longer dif_ferentiate,betvveen, v��iere I was
and what I am returning ho[►1e to.
`"�hich is why, it should be mandatory for anyone assoeiated with the San Luis
Obispo - planning department, planning cormLission, city council - to individ-
ually drive a cax to the Bay Area. Spend several da,�s durin� the week, d'riving
axound; dealing with everyday life. Then maybe the aforementioned, will have a
better understanding of what they are tryiiig to recreate in San Luis Obispo -
repeating the mistakes o_f other cities.
The arg«nent that t�he enviroment„will be saved, i� workforce housing is built
in San Luis Obi,spo. Rings hollow,� given that it use to take ten minutes to
dri:ve across town, This crosstown trip can naw take twenty minutes to an hour,
