Good Morning. My name is Ty Vinke and I live in the city and work in it as well. I am very interested in this
housing development. My family, wife, 2 year old and a new born on the way are second and third generation
in the City area. I believe this is a wonderful opportunity to provide the first real affordable housing
development in city.
I love the strong agricultural and recreational ties the development wants to emphasize. I believe it reflects the
environment and core values of the Central Coast.
In regards to the affordability element I strongly believe this is much needed in the City. Fortunately, my in
laws own the house we now live in. This is the only and I stress only way way we can afford to live in the
City. This has created a undue burden though because we are paying a greatly reduced rent amount compared
to what my in law would get on the market.
It would be my ultimate dream to raise my family hear in the City in a house I can afford to buy. This proposed
community would be a great environment to raise my family. I urge the Council to see the project as I do and
allow it to proceed. The SLO Ranch team and developers will only incur greater costs if this
project/construction is delayed and the cost will ultimately trickle down to future home buyers.
I look forward to seeing you all at the Council meeting on Wednesday the 5th.
