My family loves this area and we are currently renting a home that is too small for our future goals (to have
more kids) but it's all we can afford. Sadly, we are spending so much on rent that we cannot save any money to
buy either. We both have great paying jobs... which is the hardest part to swallow. My partner is a co-owner of
SLO Safe Ride and has been here for well over 15 years. I have worked at both Mission Prep and SLO High
and now at Sunrun. We want to stay here, but the reality of needing to move to be able to "get ahead" is
becoming more real. We would love to have the chance to own a home in the town that we love so much, and
more importantly to be able to raise our children here, and be able to retire to enjoy our grandchildren one day.
