As you know we’re wholehardly in favor of the project called San Luis Ranch, we are concerned about the disruption to our neighborhoods during construction and would hope that the process can be better planned thanned to avoid what’s going on now in downtown with the two hotels being built at the same time, the construction and parking problems being created by these two projects is very difficult for business owners and their customers . . . . sadly, many of the businesses were promised that a new parkiing structure would be in place to help with the pressure on the existing parking availability but alas that structure is nowhere to be seen (we’ve heard 2020). As for San Luis Ranch, there will be congestion issues on Madonna as the project continues but we're still in favor of it. Gary Grossman and his team have come up with some creative planning and their concept is far better than the one approved by the voters in 2005, hopefully that entitled project never sees the light of day. In addition, we condition our support if only the in lieu fees for parks is set aside for use to carry out the Laguna Lake rescue and improvement plans currently in the pipeline, please do not take that money and use it somewhere else in the city, San Luis Ranch is an important neighbor of Laguna Lake and their interests are in common.
