RE: 8-15-17 city council meeting
I wish to contribute my support for the following:
Item 15: "safe routes to school" resolution:
I support the resolution for the Bishops Peak and Pacheco "Safe Routes to School" Plan.
Item 16: Broad Street Bike BLVD study session:
I support this bicycle connection. I do not have an opinion as to which is the best option. I trust the council
members ability to choose the best option after listening to the community. This connection will encourage less
confident people (children and adults) to ride bicycles and aid San Luis Obispo in achieving our community's
widely supported modality goals.
Please consider the vast swath of adults and children that have asked for this route over many years… and
consider the future generations. This route is supported by the LUCE, the Bicycle Master Plan, and the
forthcoming Downtown Master Plan. I know it is tough… but please do not let NIMBY'ism drive your
decision.
