The city of SLO continues to accommodate the bicycle at what cost. Has anyone ever completed a study on how much Morro is used for bicycles. My observation is it used very little in comparison to bicycles you see on Osos. If we are going to have bicycles paths the bicycles should be forced to use them. Now the city is again planning another significant bicycle path near Chorro. Like the path on Morro when a street is closed it forces the traffic to other streets and significantly impacts other areas. I appreciate that SLO wants to be bicycle friendly but at what cost to other citizens. Many citizens do not choose or cannot ride a bicycle for transportation. Please plan better and rethink any bicycle path that is going to impact Chorro. I own property on the corner of Chorro and Peach and the traffic is horrible. I believe the city will be making it worse by modifying or closing off streets near by. If you make Chorro one way won’t it make the traffic faster (option 2 on plans)? Thank you for your time.
