Subject: North Broad Bicycle Blvd.
We can be justly proud of progress we have made (since the mid-1970's)in
accommodating bicycle traffic. We have done so without unduly interfering with
vehicular flow or adversely affecting neighborhoods.
In my opinion,the proposed N. Broad Bike alternatives will adversely affect traffic on N.
Broad and N. Chorro Streets, adversely affect the N. Broad St. neighborhood, and
provide only minimal benefit to bicyclists.
If we are to continue to provide for a successful bike program,we must spend our money
wiSely. The city has plans for MANY more bike improvements over the next few years.
I request the City Council give serious consideration to the following:
With the problems inherent and the limited benefit to bicyclists of the N. Broad project:
Is this the best use of our limited bike funds?
