Dear Mayor Harmon and City Council Members
I am writing to express my strong support for the Broad St Bike Blvd and other bike-related measures that you will be
considering at your next meeting. Previous infrastructure upgrades that were intended to benefit cyclists and pedestrians had
the side effect of improving the quality of life for most everyone in SLO, so these latest proposals ought to the do the same. This
vote is an opportunity to "put your money were your mouth is" and do more than pay lip service toward realizing the City's
sustainability goals. Initially, some folks may doubt the benefits of these changes and they may do so loudly--rest assured that
they are in the minority, and once these improvements are implemented they will soon realize that their benefits outweigh
any perceived inconveniences.
