Thanks, Bert Forbes 1st choice: Leave Broad St. as is. Re do Chorro as follows Start at East existing curb and put two bike Lanes divided by painted stripe. Then put new curb against outer bike lane. Next is row of car parking defined by painted Ts and Ls like downtown. Next two car Lanes with painted divider line. Next painted Ts and Ls to define west side parking spaces. Last is existing west curb. Second choice is to gain a couple of feet of space for the above plan by removing the two existing curbs and repouring them a foot or more further from the center of the road. Hope this is clear. I ran out of time to draw a diagram. We're on our way to Oregon to see the eclipse. Call 441.2047 I believe this is 1. Cheaper than other proposals 2. Safer for bikes 3. Better for the majority (car drivers) 4. Keeps all existing parking places 5. Proven design in Europe and Asia 6. Keeps pedestrians separate 1
